Built for flexibility, not fixed plans
Hybrid working had reshaped how King Games used their London office. Their existing setup no longer reflected the way their teams collaborated, focused or socialised. They needed a workspace that could adapt quickly — without the financial commitment or carbon impact of buying a full suite of new furniture.
Fluid partnered with King Games to introduce a rental based model that allowed them to trial, refine and evolve their environment over time. Within three months, the team had selected, received and installed a full range of flexible furniture solutions.
Supporting every style of work
The new workspace was built around choice. High and low collaboration tables encouraged teamwork and brainstorming, while private working booths created quiet zones for individual focus. Open sofa booths supported informal conversations, and Framery meeting pods and Campers & Dens pods provided soundproof spaces for calls and confidential discussions.
Torus M single work pods offered distraction free environments when deep concentration was needed. The result was a balanced, multi modal workspace that supported the full spectrum of tasks — from creative sprints to quiet, heads down work.
Made to evolve with them
Flexibility wasn’t just a design principle — it was the operating model. After 12 months, Fluid conducted a full review with King Games, identifying which pieces were thriving and which were underused. Under the rental model, these items were swapped out for alternatives that better supported the team’s needs.
This continuous improvement loop kept the workspace aligned with real world behaviour, not assumptions. Employee feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with teams valuing the ability to choose the right setting for their work.
